Abbe Piels helps engineering teams speed up their CI pipelines. As a Solutions Engineer at Blacksmith, she focuses on making builds faster and development environments less painful.

She started her career as a software engineer before realizing she cared most about collaboration—sitting down with someone to figure out what they actually need to solve a problem.

Abbe frequently mentors early-career developers through Girls Who Code and the Grace Hopper community. She studied computer science and public health at the University of Rochester, and strongly believes communication is a technical skill.
