Ajit Varma directs product strategy as the Head of Firefox at Mozilla. He focuses on building features that prioritize user agency and engine independence in a Chromium-heavy internet landscape.

Before joining Mozilla, Ajit ran WhatsApp monetization and business messaging at Meta. He also founded Adku, a machine learning platform acquired by Groupon, and held product roles at Square and Google.

He frequently speaks about the technical decisions required to preserve an open web. Ajit studied at the University of Texas at Austin and lives in the Bay Area.
