# Akmal Chaudhri

## About

Akmal Chaudhri builds developer communities as a technical evangelist at SingleStore. After twenty-five years in IT—spanning large enterprise companies and emerging big data startups—he focuses on making complex data systems accessible to software engineers.

He holds a PhD in Computer Science and has co-edited ten books. Recently, his work centers on practical implementations of vector search. He regularly runs workshops teaching developers how to build scalable recommendation engines from the ground up using standard Python and SQL.
