## About

Alex Olivier builds open-source authorization platforms. As a co-founder at Cerbos and co-chair of the OpenID AuthZEN working group, he focuses on defining standards for fine-grained access, workload identity, and AI security.

Before Cerbos, Alex scaled permission infrastructure at Microsoft, Qubit, and Zencargo. His current work revolves around figuring out how to safely grant access to AI agents. His talk on securing agentic systems explores why basic guardrails aren't enough when AI models start executing code and modifying data.
