Freelance software developer who helps teams tackle technical debt and cognitive biases.

## About

Alex Thurow writes software and helps development teams build environments where creativity thrives. Across two decades in the industry, he has focused on the messy realities of the trade, tackling clean code, refactoring, and the human factors that drive technical debt.

Rather than concentrating solely on tooling, he examines how developers actually work. He explores cognitive biases, hype-driven development, and why groups often fail to tame complex systems. 

Originally from Hamburg, Alex is based at Lake Constance. When he is not coding or mentoring, he spends his time reading far outside the tech bubble.
