ML Engineer at Meta focusing on malware detection and semi-supervised learning.

## About

Alex Timashov builds machine learning systems at Meta to detect and stop malware. Before moving to London, he spent a decade working on AI across e-commerce, banking, and energy. This includes launching the computer vision team for Petronas in Kuala Lumpur.

He focuses on training models when data is scarce. His talks cover how to use semi-supervised learning to overcome a lack of labeled data, turning small datasets into practical solutions. He studied artificial intelligence at Stanford.
