## About

Axel Schell drives AI adoption and modernizes the IT landscape for Allianz Technology. He focuses on making artificial intelligence work at an enterprise scale, bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution.

Having been with the company since 2002, his push to update how Allianz works earned him 'CIO of the Year' and 'European Digital Leader' titles. He frequently speaks on the realities of enterprise-wide automation and what happens when AI runs business operations.

He holds a PhD in Information Systems. Off the clock, Axel spends his time coding, playing tennis with his family, or watching American basketball.
