Benny Chen builds machine learning infrastructure. He co-founded Fireworks to help companies like Uber and Shopify train and serve custom AI models. Before starting the company in 2022, he spent ten years scaling ML systems at Meta.

Benny focuses on the practical realities of putting AI into production. He helps engineering teams navigate the tradeoffs between general-purpose and custom open models, avoiding vendor lock-in while balancing flexibility with operational load.
