## About

Tobias Scholz explores how competitive gaming shapes the modern workplace. He studies human resource management through the lens of esports, currently teaching and leading a research group at the University of Agder in Norway.

He founded the Esports Research Network and wrote the book *eSports is Business*. Off campus, he is the Chief Scientific Officer of metagame, helping build programs that use gaming to teach practical skills for hybrid environments.

His recent work focuses on how software development teams can apply the collaborative dynamics of competitive gaming to improve adaptive communication and solve complex problems.
