## About

Brian Fox is the CTO and co-founder of Sonatype. A former chair of the Apache Maven project, he now shapes cybersecurity strategy on the boards of OpenSSF and FINOS. He co-created The Open Source Consumption Manifesto to help organizations track how they use open source code.

Beyond software development, Brian advises government agencies like CISA and ONCD on national cyber defense. His current work explores the arms race in AI security, focusing on how defenders can automate threat hunting when machines are writing and exploiting code at scale.
