## About

Chris Ward focuses on mobile development empowerment at 1&1 Mail and Media. He cares about how software engineers can use their everyday craft to drive social equity and support grassroots movements.

A decade ago, Chris and his husband built an app that enabled citizens to lobby the UK's House of Lords for the Same Sex Marriage Bill. The project drove 15,000 emails in two weeks, aiding the bill's historic passage. Today, he shows developers how to turn simple interfaces into tools that organize communities and shift real-world policy.
