## About

David Whitney is an independent software consultant who focuses on iterative delivery, developer mentoring, and cultural change. He helps London-based startups and established organizations improve how they build software.

Previously the chief technical architect at JustGiving, he has also guided engineering teams at JUST-EAT, Trainline, and Vodafone. He advocates for intentional software design and radical simplicity. His talks explore why every single character matters, famously arguing that developers should burn their copies of Clean Code.

Based in London, he converts rum into code.
