## About

Dmytro Kurets builds data-intensive applications and search tools at trivago. Trading a geology degree for software development, he shifted from PHP and Go to Kotlin and React.

He now works on the company’s AI search capabilities. His talks focus on practical engineering over hype—demonstrating how to build local search engines by decomposing queries rather than relying on a single massive LLM prompt.

During his downtime, Dmytro co-develops the online board game Deltaration.com. He considers it an endless source of fun; his wife remains skeptical.
