## About

Dominik Schmidle manages platform products at Giant Swarm, building tools that simplify workflows for software engineering teams. He started out as a full-stack engineer before moving into cloud product management, shifting his focus to how developers work.

He advocates for treating internal platforms as actual products rather than IT service desks. He once turned an ignored internal monitoring tool into a revenue-generating system driving over 150 Kubernetes clusters. He frequently speaks about how organizations can apply real product thinking to their platforms instead of just renaming their operations teams.
