## About

Dünya Kırkalı builds software and leads engineering teams at Backbase. He started out crafting mobile apps, web services, and data pipelines before realizing his broad background gave him a unique advantage in management. Today, his main focus is finding tools and techniques to help engineering managers make better decisions.

He explores unconventional ways to analyze how teams operate. His talks on visualizing organizations as graphs challenge standard corporate hierarchies, showing how mapping information flow can uncover structural bottlenecks and improve collaboration.

When he has downtime, he enjoys putting on a Joe Pass record.
