Elmar Jürgens splits his time between researching software quality and running CQSE GmbH, a company he co-founded in 2009. He focuses on static code analysis, helping engineering teams make better architecture choices by looking at their actual repository data.

His work tackles the reality of overgrown test suites—the ones that run for too long but still somehow miss bugs. By mining version control and issue trackers for test gap analysis, Elmar gives developers practical tools to clean up their test architectures and optimize coverage.
