## About

Farshad Abasi runs Forward Security and Eureka DevSecOps, building practical application and cloud security. Before starting his own companies, he designed security architectures for HSBC Global, Intel, and Motorola.

He focuses on the gap between how systems are designed and what actually ships. His talks dive into modern threat modeling, showing teams how to evolve their models using live evidence from deployments rather than outdated blueprints.

When he isn't defending systems, Farshad teaches at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and organizes local BSides and OWASP events in Vancouver.
