# Felix Eckhardt
Independent developer and former CTO rethinking web architecture.

## About

Felix Eckhardt builds e-commerce platforms and mobile applications. After leading an 80-person engineering team as CTO for an OTTO company, he now works independently to create products that challenge standard technical choices.

He advocates for simplifying the modern development stack. His recent talks question the need for heavy frontend JavaScript frameworks, favoring tools like HTMX to close the gap between client and server. To build these apps without the usual boilerplate, he prefers writing the backend in Scala, Kotlin, or Rust.
