# Isaac Evans
Co-founder and CEO of Semgrep building security guardrails that don't block developers.

## About

Isaac Evans builds security tools that developers actually want to use. As the co-founder and CEO of Semgrep, he focuses on replacing rigid "shift left" mentalities with automated guardrails that don't block workflows.

Before Semgrep, he researched binary exploitation and hardware defenses at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and the US Defense Department. He talks about how AI and vibe coding are fundamentally changing the way software gets built and secured.

When he's not working on code security, he tinkers with software-defined radio and explores how cryptography shapes public policy.
