# Jasmin Azemović
CISO and professor bringing real-world incident response to software engineering.

## About

Jasmin Azemović builds and defends software systems. Working as a cybersecurity executive and associate professor, he leads Security Operations Centers and manages live incident response for companies like HTEC and Mistral.

He focuses on how technical failures and process gaps actually unfold in production. His talk on [security pitfalls for software engineers](/videos/726-security-pitfalls-for-software-engineers) breaks down how ordinary engineering decisions escalate into severe, company-ending breaches.

A Microsoft Security MVP, Jasmin is based in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and has authored three books on SQL Server.
