## About

Laura Lacarra runs Developer Relations at Telefónica Open Gateway. She focuses on making telecommunications network capabilities useful and accessible for everyday developers.

Her work centers on removing friction from the user journey. She regularly teaches teams how to rebuild app onboarding processes, replacing clunky SMS authentication with direct phone number verification to reduce dropout rates and prevent fraud. She also collaborates closely with the Linux Foundation to standardize telecom APIs.
