Luís Ventura builds automated code quality tools at Codacy. He previously researched NoSQL database dependability at the University of Coimbra and engineered solutions for fraud detection.

Most of his work revolves around a single question: why do developers still break production? He draws from real-world scenarios in live coding sessions to show how vulnerabilities and legacy code slip past static analysis checks, and how teams can fix their workflows to catch them before shipping.
