## About

Maik builds the core infrastructure for the Sparkassen group's massive financial platform. As a software architect at Finanz Informatik, he oversees the middleware that powers day-to-day banking for 50 million clients.

After ten years as a developer, he shifted his focus to the bigger picture. His work now revolves around rolling out an on-prem private cloud platform and keeping 1,700 developers moving fast. He frequently speaks about the hard realities of modernizing legacy systems while navigating strict financial regulations.
