## About

Markus Kett builds Java IDE tools and database systems. As CEO and co-founder of MicroStream, he develops high-performance persistence engines for cloud-native software and AI, aiming to drastically reduce infrastructure costs.

He frequently speaks about databaseless in-memory processing and sustainable architecture. His recent talks explore how micro vector database networks can cut energy waste, and why shifting away from monolithic systems speeds up query times.

Beyond his software work, Markus serves as editor-in-chief for Germany's JAVAPRO magazine and organizes the JCON conference series.
