## About

Max Fischer heads up engineering, data, and cyber security at Trade Republic. He manages systems and teams that support over 10 million users and €150 billion in assets. Before Trade Republic, he held technical leadership roles at Bluestep Bank, Klarna, and Nordea.

He focuses on complex, high-stakes infrastructure migrations. Recently, he broke down how his team shifted to an open lakehouse architecture—building a custom SQL-transpiling proxy to swap out a 620 TB data warehouse without dropping a single client connection.
