## About

Mert Akca builds clean, type-safe interfaces at SAP. Based in Berlin, he approaches engineering with a focus on the human end of the screen, optimizing for inclusive and fast experiences.

He cares about tightening the loop between design and engineering. His recent live-coding presentations explore how to simplify frontend theming by using relative CSS functions to generate complex design systems from single base values.

Outside work, he writes about programming and builds browser-based mystery games to test the limits of interactive storytelling.
