# Michael Coté
Analyzes enterprise software and platform engineering at Tanzu.

## About

Michael Coté studies how large organizations improve software development to actually run and grow their business. He works on technical staff at Tanzu and has written several books on enterprise transformation, including *Changing Mindsets* and *The Business Bottleneck*.

His focus centers on the messy reality of platform engineering. He tracks why internal developer platforms often fail—from expansive scopes to resume-driven development. Before Tanzu, he wrote code, handled corporate M&A, and worked as an analyst at RedMonk.

When he isn't writing his daily newsletter, he co-hosts the *Software Defined Talk* podcast.
