## About

Mihai Roman builds software that keeps banking systems secure at ING Belgium. After eight years as a development engineer, he now leads a team while still writing code for active security initiatives.

His work focuses on defending financial systems against evolving threats. He speaks about the realities of modern social engineering, breaking down how AI tools and DeepFakes are completely changing the landscape of banking fraud.

When he steps away from his desk, Mihai spends his time traveling the world, playing sports, and tinkering with small side projects.
