# Mike Bursell
Executive Director at the Confidential Computing Consortium, focused on hardware-based trust.

## About

Mike Bursell leads the Confidential Computing Consortium as its Executive Director. After past security and virtualization roles at Red Hat, Intel, and Citrix, he now focuses on building truly isolated hardware environments that solve complex data privacy issues.

He co-founded the Enarx project to advance hardware-based trust and speaks on how confidential computing provides an alternative to traditional, geography-based solutions for digital sovereignty. He also authored the 2021 book *Trust in Computer Systems and the Cloud*.
