## About

Nicholas Muy secures agentic infrastructure at Scrut.io as VP of Engineering and CISO. Before stepping into the startup world, he worked in security engineering at Expedia Group and shaped cybersecurity strategy at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

His recent work tackles the gap in open-source defense for smaller engineering teams. In his talk on vulnerability disclosures, Nicholas frames the need for an open response commons where teams without early embargo access can pool threat mitigations at machine speed.

Outside of day-to-day security work, he evaluates startups as a Venture Partner at Tidal Ventures.
