## About

Peter Farkas builds sustainable open-source database businesses from the ground up. He currently runs Percona, and previously co-founded FerretDB, an open-source MongoDB alternative built on PostgreSQL.

Rather than rely on venture capital, Peter focuses on bootstrapping. After two decades of growing commercial open-source companies past the $50 million revenue mark, he frequently shares the practical realities of monetizing free software and building distributed teams.
