Phani Pendurthi builds and optimizes large-scale distributed systems at Mastercard. After nearly two decades engineering architecture across payments, banking, and telecom, he focuses on making infrastructure scalable, efficient, and highly secure.

Recently, he has been exploring the friction between traditional endpoints and machine callers. His work tackles how to protect APIs from non-human traffic, detailing practical patterns to survive AI agents that hallucinate parameters, ignore changelogs, and trigger massive retry storms.
