## About

Phil Leggetter leads Developer Experience at Hookdeck. He builds platforms that help developers create reliable, interoperable event-driven systems. Before Hookdeck, he guided developer relations and product growth at startups including Pusher and Nexmo, seeing both through acquisitions and enterprise scaling.

Right now, he focuses on modernizing API platform event delivery. He speaks about the cracks in the traditional webhook model—which has remained largely unchanged since 2007—and advocates for resilient, scalable alternatives like Stripe-inspired Event Destinations.
