# Piyush Gupta
Engineering leader at Expedia focused on web standards and in-browser AI.

## About

Piyush Gupta builds and scales web products at Expedia. He guides engineering teams through the entire lifecycle, taking projects from initial ideas to massive scale. His technical focus stays closely tied to modern web standards and practical frontend capabilities.

Lately, Piyush is exploring how to bring AI directly to the user's device. He digs into browser-provided APIs and local models like Chrome's Gemini Nano, helping developers understand the real-world trade-offs of running AI in the browser.

When he unplugs, Piyush usually heads to the gym, plays guitar, or tries to catch up on sleep.
