## About

Rijk van Zanten builds engineering and design architecture at Directus as its CTO and co-founder. He focuses on creating flexible interfaces that serve both humans and machines.

His recent work explores how AI agents interact with software. At a recent event, he shared how to build Vue composables that let AI copilots safely navigate complex UIs and take localized actions within strict boundaries.

Originally from the Netherlands, Rijk now lives in Brooklyn. When he steps away from his editor—where his code is strictly indented in threes—you can find him with his cats or playing bass.
