Rohan Ramanath leads the AI Core team at Nu. He bridges the gap between machine learning research and actual customer experiences inside a heavily regulated financial institution.

His work focuses on applying AI to customer service, credit, and pricing. Recently, his team developed nuFormer, a foundation model that treats financial history like a language. This system processes trillions of transactions to run large-scale decision engines for 139 million customers across Latin America.
