## About

Sagar Utekar scales production infrastructure as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at CrowdStrike. He fell into computer engineering by accident but stayed for the distributed systems, eventually earning all five core Kubernetes certifications.

He focuses on making cloud-native architecture more efficient. His recent work explores using Envoy and the Kubernetes Gateway API for smart Layer-7 routing, diverting simple AI prompts to smaller models to save expensive GPU capacity.

Sagar runs the Docker and CNCF chapters in Pune and writes a DevOps newsletter for 57,000 readers. Offline, he grinds through heavy progressive strength training at the gym.
