Sahil Sabharwal builds reliable infrastructure at Intuit. As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, he tackles regional disaster recovery for over 5,000 microservices powering applications like TurboTax and Mailchimp. Instead of relying on manual emergency runbooks, he focuses on making massive failovers entirely predictable.

He helped design EWOK, Intuit's custom orchestrator kit. By writing Golang control planes and mapping out complex state recoveries with AWS Step Functions, his work replaces scattered scripts with fully automated systems. Sahil essentially shifts disaster recovery from a frantic engineering burden to a quiet, controlled background process.
