# Sandon Jacobs

## About

Sandon Jacobs helps developers build reliable data streaming architecture at Confluent. Over the last twenty years, he has designed JVM applications for everything from real-time mobile ad bidding to television media and the energy sector. He turned to Apache Kafka early on to manage massive data pipelines.

He focuses on bringing discipline to asynchronous systems. His talks break down how to enforce data contracts at the source, using schema registries to stop bad data from breaking downstream consumers.

Based in Raleigh, NC, Sandon serves on the NC American Indian Heritage Commission and travels as a powwow singer and emcee.
