Soumil Mandal builds machine learning systems at ServiceNow. Working on the internal AI Platform team, he designs large-scale information retrieval structures that power search tools and intelligent workflows. His current work focuses on training Small Language Models (SLMs) to act as persona-specific assistants.

Soumil cares about making artificial intelligence less of a black box. He focuses heavily on AI decision observability, helping organizations create traceable pipelines where every automated choice can be tracked, measured, and fully explained.
