Tara Hernandez leads developer productivity at MongoDB. Over the last three decades, she has shaped how organizations build and ship software, which included helping to launch Mozilla.org.

Her work focuses on the practical reality of AI deployments. She argues that successful adoption means aligning business goals and team culture long before touching a single line of code.

A long-time advocate for open source and inclusive engineering teams, Tara serves on several boards focused on diversity in tech and is a trustee of the UC Santa Cruz Foundation.
