Before joining Temporal, he coded aerospace engineering tools at OCI, built high-volume data processors for WebMD, and created technical curriculum for Cloudera. Today, he focuses on durable execution. His workshops strip away the complexity of distributed computing, showing teams how to build Java and Go applications that survive service outages, hardware failures, and network drops. When he steps away from the keyboard, you can find him cooking, traveling, or playing guitar. ## Past Sessions ### World Congress 2026 Europe · July 8, 2026 Berlin, Germany - [Developing Crash-Proof Java Applications](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2026-europe/sessions/1141-developing-crash) · 120 min ### World Congress 2025 · July 9, 2025 Berlin, Germany - [Introduction to Temporal with Go](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/events/world-congress-2025/sessions/729-introduction-to) · 120 min ## Links - [X](https://twitter.com/TemporalTom) - [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/tomwheelerstl/)
