# Viktor Gamov

## About

Viktor Gamov helps developers build distributed systems as a Principal Developer Advocate at Confluent. A Java Champion, his work focuses on real-time data streaming, cloud-native architectures, and DevOps.

He frequently speaks on the practical realities of software engineering, recently testing the limits of AI coding agents by building an IoT application live on stage. He is also the co-author of *Enterprise Web Development* and *Apache Kafka in Action*.

When he is not writing code or advocating for open source, Viktor chronicles his gym training and food adventures.
