Requirements
The role
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to lead our current team and work with them to continuously improve our data model for instant carbon insights. This requires an appetite for complex data models and diverse data integrations. You constantly review the tech stack decisions, its logic, integrations with other elements and challenge its components from different aspects, such as scalability, data quality, security and audit trail.We are a quickly growing company so no two days will be the same - you’ll partner closely with our team as well as many external stakeholders. In this role you won’t dive into code all day, but also spend a fair amount of time on discussing the different options with the team to build the most sustainable solution.Because we will onboard you onto our platform in the first week, you can quickly start working on relevant features. We believe in 'learning by doing'. This is an opportunity to join an early-stage high-performing team and ultimately define the career that you want.This is a full time role, hybrid in-office and remote, based in our Rotterdam office at least 2-3 days per week.
Scope of Work
You will:
- Be responsible for our Climax data model and future integrations by envisioning a target architecture
- Help create the right building blocks that will keep our model as scalable as possible
- Have a sensitivity to clean coding, adherence to best practices, CI/CD and peer upskilling
- Mentor junior team members to ensure they are continuously learning
- Introduce robust automated QA tooling
About you:
- Intrinsic motivation to work in climate tech
- Masters degree in Econometrics, Computer Science, A.I., or a comparable field
- At least 7+ years of experience in a software/data engineering role
- Deep understanding of PostgreSQL
- Mastery of software engineering best practices (version control, testing, code quality, CICD)
- Experience on orchestration tools such as Airflow and dbt
- Hands on experience on GCP (Google Cloud Platform) environment; preferably on most of the following: Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Monitoring & Logging, Beam, Tentacles and Pub/Sub
- Fluent in Python
- Staying at the forefront of the Data & AI landscape
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
