Job description
- Managing IT projects in the domain of digitalisation of various railway processes.
- Performing technical activities related to RailNetEurope's railway applications in the context of digitalising railway infrastructure and enabling data exchange for interoperability, including but not limited to:
- Translating business end-user requirements into technical specifications for the development team.
- Analysing railway data with a strong focus on data quality, identifying inconsistencies, and supporting stakeholders in improving data accuracy and completeness.
- Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to support continuous improvement of data-related processes.
- Participating in and helping to organise application development and governance meetings, including preparation of agendas, minutes and reports.
- Participating in various working groups related to digital infrastructure and TAF/TAP TSI.
- Representing RNE and supporting the RNE Senior IT Manager in the domain of applications for data exchange for interoperability.
- Preparing training materials - such as manuals and videos - and delivering training courses.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in the field of computer and IT systems, with at least 3 years of experience, or a non- academic educational background with a minimum of 5 years' experience in similar roles
- Experience in managing IT systems development projects and IT support processes and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and SharePoint
- Basic technical skills in XML and SQL are required.
- Excellent communication skills in an international context
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong English language skills at negotiation level (C1)
- Knowledge of Linked Data, Semantic Web technologies (e.g., RDF, SPARQL), and their application in data exchange and interoperability will be considered a valuable asset.
Benefits & conditions
- The annual gross minimum wage for this position according to the Austrian Act on Equal treatment is EUR 54.000 (full time - 40h/week), with willingness to negotiate overpayments in line with the market, depending on experience and qualifications.
