- The Deskside Support Engineer - Level 1 is responsible for providing first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing,and resolving technical problems in a timely and professional manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in the IT support domain.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Technical Support

Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues at the user's desk or remotely.

Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and applications.

Assist with basic network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN).

Support Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS, and common enterprise applications.
User Assistance

Respond to support requests via ticketing system, email, phone, or walk-ups.

Document issues and resolutions accurately in the helpdesk system.

Educate users on best practices and basic troubleshooting steps.

Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2/3 support or relevant teams.
Asset & Inventory Management

Maintain records of IT assets including laptops, monitors, and accessories.

Assist with hardware deployment, relocation, and recovery.

Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on equipment.
Process & Compliance

Follow standard operating procedures and IT policies.* Ensure compliance with security protocols and data protection guidelines.

Participate in onboarding/offboarding processes (device setup, account provisioning).
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Diploma or bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

0-2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk environment.

Basic understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCP) are a plus.
