Job description

In order to support the SAP S/4HANA Lighthouse Project, Airbus Operations is looking for a, Buxtehude - a picturesque town in direct proximity to Hamburg with direct public transport connection - accommodates Airbus Cabin Electronics. We are responsible for the end-to-end value chain of the cabin management and connectivity solutions for all Airbus aircraft: In every Airbus cabin beats a heart from Buxtehude. What's the Mission?

We're not just upgrading a system; we're building the future of our operations! Our SAP S/4HANA Lighthouse Project is a critical initiative to transition from our current SAP R3 system to the next-generation S/4HANA. This is a newly created position where you'll be a key player in ensuring a smooth and successful transition for our production and after-sales business in Buxtehude.

You'll be at the forefront of:

  • Automating data migration and testing: Say goodbye to manual grunt work and hello to efficient, innovative solutions.
  • Ensuring system integrity: Through intense tool and system testing, you'll work directly with SAP key users across all business areas.
  • Agile project management: You'll help coordinate and support user acceptance tests, prioritize issues, and contribute to backlog grooming in a dynamic, agile environment.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As part of the SAP S/4HANA project team, you'll be deeply involved in all relevant workshops and regular project meetings. Your concrete tasks will evolve as the project progresses, but they'll include:

  • Defining and executing test cases: Collaborate with SAP key users to define, plan, and perform testing activities across various lines of business including Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Asset Management, and Sales & Services.
  • Tracking progress and results: Record test results, track progress, and communicate findings to the project team.
  • International collaboration: Work closely with our colleagues in Toulouse, France, to avoid duplication and leverage synergies, ensuring a unified and efficient implementation.
  • Driving corrective actions: Engage in regular exchanges within the project team on test results and help drive corrective actions.

You'll have interfaces within the project team and with various hierarchy levels across all involved functions, giving you a broad understanding of our operations.

Requirements

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein).   • Programming skills and a basic understanding of SAP systems.
  • Experience in process analysis, data modeling, and the implementation of digital solutions would be a plus
  • Fluency in both German and English (verbal and written) is essential. French would be a plus.
