Job description

As an IT Infrastructure Analyst, you will support Alcobendas operations, laboratory, process automation equipment installation, end-user support, and special project custom applications. You will partner with the Alcobendas Site IT leader and other functions, locally and globally, to support changes or maintenance to the IT and network equipment at the site, and to lead the Life-cycle management of the local hardware (workstations, servers, printers, platform applications, operating systems…), * Manage the specialized site infrastructure, to ensure it is kept in an updated and validated state.

  • Ensure connectivity for manufacturing, administration and laboratories activities at the site.
  • Perform technical requirements analysis of specialized manufacturing infrastructure.
  • Perform and/or work with the global network team to analyze new technical and business requirements for the network design.
  • Install and configure workstation hardware, software and any additional hardware and software.
  • Provide qualified infrastructure platforms.
  • Train end users on the operations of new equipment, workstation software, networking, cybersecurity.
  • Troubleshooting problems on platforms including specifically Citrix, RealVNC, VDI, Linux, iGel technology, Win11 OS, workstation hardware, telecom equipment.
  • Consultant for questions regarding infrastructure, compatibility, backup and configuration issues.
  • Provide strategy for immediate and future upgrades of hardware, software applications, and network devices.
  • Perform application and operating system upgrades for lab and automation systems.
  • Providing supporting documentation for validation and testing of upgrades.
  • Assist with validation of new and existing systems by providing technical design information to assure GMP data integrity.
  • Participate and represent department in cross-functional or departmental teams, as requested.
  • Participate in detailed action planning activities (resourcing, time and costs) for proposed infrastructure related changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field., * Knowledge of infrastructure platforms, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address IT issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Customer service mindset and communication skills to maintain high end-user satisfaction.
  • Knowledge in ITIL principles, including incident, problem and change management, to streamline processes.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices to protect critical pharmaceutical manufacturing systems and sensitive data.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
  • Teamwork oriented with the ability to work independently., * Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing disaster recovery plans, business continuity strategies, and high-availability solutions.
  • Experience providing technical support in regulated manufacturing environment, especially in GMP environment. Familiarity with S95 architecture concepts.
  • Exposure to international operations, diverse teams, global IT projects, or working in a global organization.
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing site experience.
