Job description
We're looking for a Junior Data Engineer to help us evolve our modern data stack and ensure our teams can make smarter, data-driven decisions.
You'll work closely with data engineers, analysts, and marketing tech teams to build and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines that power analytics, automation, and activation across our products.
Your mission: support the delivery of high-quality, well-modeled data that enables our teams to trust and act on insights with confidence.
You'll gain hands-on experience with tools like BigQuery, dbt, Prefect, Hightouch, and GTM, and contribute to building a robust, efficient data ecosystem that fuels Reverse Tech's growth.
What will you do
Data Engineering
- Develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and dbt models to ensure reliable data flow across systems.
- Collaborate with analysts to structure datasets that are optimized for reporting and activation.
- Support data quality checks, monitoring, and documentation to maintain trust in our data.
- Assist with data integrations across tools like Google Tag Manager, Hightouch, Segment, and Braze.
Collaboration & Learning
- Work with senior engineers to understand our data architecture and best practices.
- Partner with marketing, product and operations teams to help deliver data for targeting, personalization, and measurement.
- Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Operational Support
- Troubleshoot data issues, track root causes, and propose solutions.
- Help improve workflow automation.

Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, * 0-2 years of experience indata engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical field.
- Solid understanding of SQL and foundational-to-intermediate level of Python for data manipulation and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (preferably BigQuery) and version control (Git).
- Eager to learn dbt, reverse ETL, and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Prefect, Airflow).
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity for how data moves through systems.
- Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, startup environment.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience working with marketing data (Google Ads, Meta, Braze, etc.).
- Knowledge of event tracking or Google Tag Manager (GTM).
- Interest in predictive models (churn, LTV, or audience scoring).
