Datacenter Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Datacenter Engineer with expertise in storage and backups to join our team. As an Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing storage and backup solutions for our clients, ensuring the security and availability of their data., * Design and implement scalable and reliable storage architectures, including SAN, NAS, and object storage systems.

• Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and timely restoration in case of system failures or data loss.
• Configure and optimize backup software and hardware solutions, including disk and cloud-based backup services.
• Monitor storage systems and backups to identify performance issues, capacity constraints, and potential risks, and take proactive measures to address them.
• Conduct regular backup testing and verification to ensure the recoverability of data and maintain backup documentation and procedures.
• Plan and execute data migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for storage and backup-related issues, working closely with internal teams to resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures, and create technical reports and presentations as needed.

Do you have experience in Software troubleshooting?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience (2+ years) as a Datacenter Engineer, specializing in storage and backup solutions.
• Strong knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage systems.
• Experience with backup technologies and methodologies, such as disk-based backups, tape libraries, and cloud-based backup services.
• Familiarity with backup software and tools, such as Veeam, Varonis, and Cohesity.
• Understanding of data deduplication, replication, and encryption techniques.
• Knowledge of storage protocols and standards, including iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, and SMB/CIFS.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and monitoring tasks is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex storage and backup issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., EMC Proven Professional, Veeam Certified Engineer) are highly desirable.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written, Dutch is considered a plus., You like to think about manufacturability when designing
